Products Description

           

The typical application of flat convex cylindrical lens is one-dimensional magnification or compression. The traditional spherical lens ACTS symmetrically on the incident light in two directions, while the cylindrical lens ACTS symmetrically on the incident light in only one direction. Another possible application is to use a single cylindrical lens to focus a divergent beam on a detector array. In order to minimize spherical aberration, when the collimator beam is converged into a line, the collimator light should be incident on the surface of the lens, while when the collimator light source is quasi-linear, the linear light source should be incident on the plane of the lens.


        

A plano-concave cylindrical lens like a plano-concave spherical lens, but the plano-concave cylindrical lens on only one axis. These cylindrical lenses are used for applications that require the shaping of a point light source in a one-dimensional direction. The cylindrical lens is used to convert a collimator laser beam into a linear beam. A pair of cylindrical lenses can be used to shape an image. Concave cylindrical mirrors are often used in beam spreading applications.
