Dichroic filters, also known as dichroic mirrors, are widely used in laser technology. They feature high transmission for specific wavelengths of light and high reflection for other wavelengths.Dichroic filters (color separation filters) can isolate specific bands in the visible light spectrum, and are often applied for color compensation and color balance in photocopiers.

Dichroic mirrors feature high transmittance, precise wavelength positioning, and low optical energy loss. At 45° or large-angle incidence, they separate light sources into specific spectra and redirect partial spectral paths. Dichroic filters are widely used in microplate readers, fluorescence microscopes, laser lighting, optical instrument beam splitting, projection light engines, video glasses, and other sensor systems.
Features of dichroic mirrors:
■ Manufactured with ion beam sputtering (IBS) coating, hard, stable and dense film, long service life
■ High transmittance and reflectivity, customizable with cost-effective pricing
■ Designed for 45° incidence, compatible with alternatives to Semrock, Chroma and similar brands
■ Suitable for fluorescence imaging systems, spectral imaging systems, scientific research experiments, etc.
Dichroic filters are also widely applied in stage laser lights, moving head lights, laser systems, optical instruments, projectors, LED color detection, fluorophore analysis, biomedical microscopes, and reflective color wheels.
AOS Optics maintains a large inventory of filters with short lead times and fast delivery.
